The Climate Smart Task Force is a town appointed group that meets quarterly to discuss issues affecting the town as a result of climate change. Working with NYSERTA and other government agencies, the Task Force has been educating residents of programs, rebates and other incentives to cut carbon emissions and reduce our reliance on fossil fuels.
We are working towards our Bronze Certification in 2025.
We have been awarded over $90,000 in grant monies, some of which are being held in a Green Fund to assist the town with applicable projects, the rest is designated for heat pumps and solar panels at the Gallatin Town Hall. We welcome new members,
